Poetry Unspoken
by Kathy Northup

I am Bright eyes Dark hair An expressive smile A fiery life force  I am Chasing waterfalls Turning pages of rhymes Running with the wind Tracing faces in the sand   I am A gentle spirit Who lives in the stream Climbing rocks Finding the mosses edge   I am Larger than life Smaller than you The blossoms of springtime The glistening snow   I am  A witness of legends An enchantment of hues A pebble on the water's edge To be skimmed to and fro   I am A captivating star A summer night's sky A trail through dark-wooded places A willow tree bent   I am Poetry unspoken Waiting to be rhymed
